
Account Manager
Augusoft®, Inc., the leading lifelong learning technology provider of Web-based software products and services for the education market is seeking an Account Manager. This position will manage prospect relationships (qualification of leads to closure of accounts), while managing all sales cycle stages within the Augusoft CRM.
The Account Manager will be responsible for helping prospects determine the appropriate solutions needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage all stages of sales cycle prospect information within Augusoft CRM and lead team sales meetings, while providing bi-weekly pipeline tracking and reporting of key accounts.
- Build strong client relationships with key decision makers to identify, qualify, follow-up and drive sales opportunities to “Closed/Won” status, while meeting individual and company wide sales goals.
- Execute prospecting and qualification calls to targeted leads/prospects when needed.
- Work with national strategic sales partners to cultivate prospect accounts to closure and participate in events to generate future sales opportunities.
- Using consultative selling techniques understand and effectively present Augusoft Lumens solutions/value proposition, overcome prospect internal objections and provide appropriate knowledge resource or sales tool while working alone or within a sales team structure.
- Clearly articulate and deliver effective one-on-one or small group detailed product demonstrations online or on-site.
- Attend key client events, trade shows/conferences and industry/networking events on behalf of Augusoft to generate qualified leads, contribute to developing supporting presentations and/or other deliverables. Up to 10% travel required.
- Anticipate and effectively field, write and manage various sales tools from initiation through delivery to ensure sales closure (product information requests, thank you notes, RFP’s, competitive analysis request, product proposals, overviews and bids) in a professional and timely manner.
- Participate in product discovery opportunities and report field findings to product management team.
- Assist in sales/product training of other team members.
- Conduct occasional customer calls to nurture existing relationships, obtain references and new leads.
- Smoothly transition new customers to the Customer Service Team for product implementation.
Essential Skills, Education & Experience
- Minimum of three to five years relevant professional work experience; experience in secondary and higher education preferred.
- Experience in consultative sales roles and long sales cycles with a successful track record in closing accounts.
- Ability to participate in strategic activities across an account, as well as perform tactical project management support.
- Possess excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Must be comfortable discussing technology solutions, conducting product demonstrations and presentations via the web, over the phone or in-person.
- Must enjoy working with cross-functional teams to achieve individual and team goals.
- Ability to manage sales cycle process for pipeline accounts from start to finish, with minimal direction or support.
- Comfortable working with technical estimates, legal contracts and development teams.
- Up to 10% travel required.
- Advanced MS Office and strong presentation skills required. Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus.
- Minimum of BA/BS or related undergraduate degree required.
